Body Kit progress

After getting the body kit paid for because of the damage, here is the progress I am at so far. Had to do alot of fiberglass repair to strengthen the broken areas. Not fully bolted on so it does look a little weird lol,

Looks good! I have been doing kits for years. I hate doing the front corner edges next to the tire. Mine tend to stick out at the bottom. I have tried the pvc pipe to the frame trick.
The bumper and the hood have the same style.

This kit from this particular company is.definitely made crappy. They should donate it instead of selling it. Had it not been for the shipping company fully reimbursing me for the damages, I would have shipped it back but hey it was free so why not.

Well I worked on the front bumper some more and decided its going to get scrapped. It is a shame that a company even considers selling something that basically needs a complete overhaul. I took it to a friend who does body work to get some help and he could not believe the quality. So cervinis kit will be getting ordered.

Did you know about the quality before buying this? It helps to search before.

Unfortunately I did not research that particular kit from that company. It just sucks now because I am weary about buying the same kit from someone else and running into the same problems. This kit did not have no mounting holes drilled, no brackets for the parking lamps, the slots for the parking lamps were cut too big. Just a big disappointment. You live you learn right?

My uncle has 67 with a Eleanor kit. It required a bunch of modification. A lot of hard work but worth all the trouble. He had to re do the fiberglass trunk mounts. That was just the beginning of much work. Sometimes fiberglass is big trouble.I hope you make it work.

Ya this kit is a joke. Im not even going to dump Anymore money into it. Im just going to buy a good quality bumper and call it good. The only other work this bumper will see tomorrow is the baseball bat I plan on beating it with lol

Better yet some gas and some matches. Looks good you will need some bigger wheels like 19s to set that kit off

19's would be my max. Not big on 20" rims.

Have you practiced cutting stry-phone(can not spell today) you use it to mold. Then put fiberglass around it.

I haven't tried that...I may do that for some small spots on the side skirts but the front bumper will be used for practice. I have been wanting to paint for quite some time and figured I could practice on the front bumper.

I got 20's aswell, and they look good. Doesn't look overly large and all "bling bling" .
