CAI & Tuner combos

I have been looking at the different CAI and tuner combos and am wondering if there is really much difference, besides looks/color, in like air raid, steeda, JLT, etc or is is just personal preference?

There all pretty close as far as gains. It comes down to price and personal preference.

Seems like JLT is the one chosen by most s197 owners. I bought a JLT and I like it a lot. Easy install too. According to dyno charts the JLT puts down just a little bit more torque that some of it's competitors. Horsepower wins brags...Torque wins drags.

As for torque numbers, the JLT with a tune yields 30hp/32tq. The Airraid is about 35hp/30tq. The Steeda and BBK intakes are probably also in the same ballpark with regards to torque increase. But, to be honest, I wouldn't spend the extra $100-$150 when you can get a JLT or Airraid. Note, as for the hp/tq numbers, this is probably also with a very aggressive tune on a nice cold day.
