Idk about mechanical but under the hood by the edge there is a spot that water can get under and cause the paint to chip and fall off. If I were you I would find a way to seal it with something before its too late

It was too late for me when I got it

Any recommendations on what to seal it with? I have some spots like that under my hood.

I don't really know. You might be able to get away with puttin some layers of plasti dip over it. The best solution would just be getting an aftermarket hood
