Some mufflers would do the trick. I personally like the tone flowmasters give.

Magnaflow, bassani, borla, corsa all will give you A nice deep rumble without the rasp. Exhaust is all personal preference so everyone will differ on what they like, I recommend figuring your price range, and YouTube the axle backs that fall into that category and see what YOU like the most.

What kind of midpipe do you have? An o/r H w/ Pypes Violators will have a real nice deep sound to it. Sounds kind of like Flowmasters but a bit more aggressive and loud.

I have my ideal exhaust on my car and love the loud, deep, rumble it gives. I'm not just saying it because I have it on my car, but a set of pypes offroad h and a borla stingers are just pure amazing.

What do you mean by straight piped? Straight piped is no cats, no muffler, just pipig from manifolds to tips

I have no cats and just welded in Flowmaster Super 44's and I absolutely love the sound. It's loud and has that deep muscle car sound.

O/R X pipe : Straight throw mufflers such as SLP
O/R H pipe : Chambered muffler such as Flowmasters.

If you stick with the stock h pipe you should consider flows 10 series the only flowmaster I would recommend to anyone, or 40 series with an o/r h. The 10s are pretty loud with cats and would be too loud with o/r mid if you're not wanting loud. Flows are pretty cheap where as borla, bassani, and magnaflow are higher but they are better quality sounding pieces.

With the right mufflers anything can sound good. But you should stay away from chambered mufflers with an x

That's what my bassani setup has...bassani o/r x and catback. Real nice tone and not as raspy as it was when it was first installed
