Intake help

I don't know too much about intakes. But looking to get one for my 06 GT. I'm not looking to get a tuner, any input? What brand?

Steeda intake with BAMA tuned at 93 octane.

You'll never look back.

But once you put it on, 93 tuned. Drive it, oh man. That sound just make you happiest man in the town, revving with that sexy sound from the intake

I could not stop smiling every time I heard it growl every time I revved it or let alone start my car.

Damn.

I really don't want to buy a tuner or anything and really only want to spend up to $350

Then I suppose you could look at JLT, CAI, BBK. I think those intake does not require any kind form of tune.

Steeda intake on other hand, does require.

My motto with my car "I love it so much, that I will not spare any expense."

Unfortunately if your putting an aftermarket CAI on, most likely you'll need a tune, due to the performance programming of the PCM already on the vehicle.

I think the money's well worth it!

I've learned that these new 5.0's don't take a lot to produce big gains!

If you get an Airaid intake from American Muscle, part # 52100, it comes with a Modular Venturi Tube that is inserted into the intake tube so you can run that intake without a tune. And when you decide to go with a tune, just remove the Modular Venturi Tube and you'll get the most out of our intake. It still makes a noticeable improvement with the tube inserted, but a BIG improvement all around win the tube removed and tune download.

Here's a link.

Just make sure you get a composite tube, not metal. Heat kills HP baby
