Painting brake calipers

So I got the car up on jack stands to install new brakes and paint the calipers RED to give it a little bling bling so far I'm half way done pretty easy the kit came with caliper cleaner so I just washed them down scrubbed them with a wire brush disassembled and started painting the calipers will be red but the mounting brackets I painted black

They look good....
I always do red, on both caliper and bracket.
I have the caliper covers from mgp now, and love them....
The paint seems to flatten out over time, my covers still look brandy a$$ new.

I used the brush on type caliper paint on my 96 cobra, after the 2nd application, it looked very nice and never faded.... it looked glossy still when I sold it.

I used the brush on for mine too. I'm wondering if the spray on is the way to go

I was thinking about doing this to mine also. My current calipers are painted black. Kinda wanna switch it up and paint then red. Can't I just get like modeling paint or something from the local hardware store?

That's the same kit I got. It wasn't enough brake cleaner though... Had to buy another can but it was only $3.50

Any high temp enamel will work I thinned out some actual auto paint I had sitting at the house and then put a thick layer of auto clear for the shine but if I had to buy a kit that kit that was posted was a great deal!!! Looks good op!!!!!! And I love the wheels!!!!!!

I looked at some silver ones and checked mine out and they look so new they are almost silver and I don't think it stands out enough . I'm going with red or blue to match the car I think

---------- Post added at 08:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:28 AM ----------

Was looking at silver and mine are almost new so they have that silver look . Don't much like it so I think I'll go with red or maybe blue to match the color of the car

---------- Post added at 08:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:30 AM ----------

Oops sorry I posted that twice
