Cobra badges does not make your gt a gt500. Honestly it's one of those cars I laugh at.

Gooby pls.....

You have a nice car man, don't go out and misbadge it. You don't have the horsepower or legacy to back them badges up

Cobra badges are for cobras. Badge it as a gt or debadge it all together imo... I have no problem with cobra badges with a Cobra drive train swap.

Please be happy with what you have. There are so many damn clone craps all over the place you can't hardly tell when there is a real cobra anymore. Your car is a gt let it stay a gt. if you want a cobra or the real name for your model Shelby than go by one. Go get a Shelby gt and throw snakes on it. You don't see me putting gt symbols on my cobra so why should you do the same? Anyways cute 3v gt.

Yeah. But on their defense, he wasn't very nice either.

Just imagine OP, all the criticism you're getting in a MUSTANG forum. How many ricers will criticize you out on the streets.

Op rock what you got!!!! Don't destroy a good car by trying to make it something it is not! I myself have a GT and I love the fact that I have a GT! You will get more street respect and forum respect by owning what you have! I respect someone that has a V6 or a GT or anything really that owns what it is and wears what it is proudly! No one on here or the street Is going to frown on you because you only have what you have, they will just help you to make the best of what it is!!

Interesting, 20 posts and not one person has gave their opinion to my question. Nice people on here. Not asking for your opinion on cobra transformation, which will include a supercharger by the way.

Same here...I'd take the badges off if I were you. But hey it's your car , whatever makes you happy! Just be prepared to be laughed at at a car show or a track.

I don't see the problem, I bought my badges from my ford dealer just like my car....
I do see about 5 NON 05-10 guys chiming in on the wrong section of the forum...
And we will keep the V6 guy so he can buy our old struts, shocks, and sway bars when we are done with them. But I won't jump in the V6 forum and call you out for using gt parts and to stick with your factory suspension to make it right.....just saying
This is what kills a forum real quick, if you think that negative remarks directly at a dudes ride isn't gonna tick him off, try reading your post before you submit it.
I'm gonna put freaking cobra badges on the wife's Mercedes now......boom!

99% of car enthusiasts will tell you, mis-badging a car is a no-no. Especially a GT-500 non the less. It's plain sacrilege. Nobody likes a fake poser.

I didn't know we had boundaries on what sections we could go to.

The problem is he didnt say supercharger at first. He is misrepresenting the car. The car is not Shelby and will never be a Shelby. It's a gt. not trying to put you down op but you asked about a topic even a lot of nice people dont even like to talk about. I'd be proud to have a gt and don't get big headed cause you have a v8. Alot of v6s on here could blow you away. Do whatever you so to your car that makes you happy but please don't tell people you have a Shelby even if you supercharge it.

Even with a supercharger you still have a 3v GT not gt500.
