Weld in M80 with O/R X and Pype Bombs

I am currently running O/R Pypes X pipe with Pypes Pype Bomb axleback. It sounds insane. Its not bad, but I don't love it. Simple revs, the car sounds unreal. The meanest car I've heard in a long time. Anyway...

Question; Has anyone welded in some M80 mufflers in between the x pipe and axleback? If so, did it help tone your exhaust a little? I really love how loud my exhaust is, that isn't the problem. The trumpeting just gets bad in certain gears around 2200.

Thanks to those who can help me out!

Well, that is basically what I have. The Pype Bombs are just resonated tips. So its no cats....x pipe...stock pipes to pype bomb axleback. It trumpets really bad at 1900 rpms. I drove to work today, and on the way 4 people confronted me. A man at a stoplight who liked how it sounded (he was a total redneck). My best friend texts me while I'm driving home from work. He is eating at a restaurant outside, heard my car and knew it was me! 3 little girls standing on the corner in a city street who screamed. Lastly, another man who just stares at me and goes "nice car" (with a crazy look on his face). It sounds like a friggen' nitro coupe from 2500rpms and up. But from 1000 to 2000 it sounds like a 5th grader playing a trumpet in the first day of music class. I'll make a video too and post it tomorrow night.

So again....Anyone...........Does anyone have M80s welded in?

Here is a video of the Pypes O/R X pipe and Pypes Pype Bomb Axleback. You can't hear any trumpeting in the revs. Those revs could be heard from probably about 1/2 mile away. (no joke)

i have the m80s

I had the pype bombs
them added the or x pipe
I spoke to the pypes rep at the ford nationals in Carlisle PA
he said to add the m80 mufflers...
I ended up buying the pypes super system
its the catback with mid m80 mufflers, mandrel axle pipes and the rear pype bombs.
idle now is half as loud, but it still screams but is more clean and I have gotten tons of compliments

Very good information man. Thanks for the advice.
Do you get any "trumpeting" around 1900-2500rpms?
Do you think I will be able to weld the M80s in? Will they fit??

no trumpet at all.

not sure with stock over axle pipes, they will be tight to the tank.
that's why I bought the super system, so it has adjustment on all the clamps and I can get my tips centered on the rear....

I think I'm going to just buy the M80s and try to weld them in. It will be a tight fit, but I bet it will work. I already got the Bombs, so I might as well. I bet it will sound exactly identical to your car.
