Rear end Gears

I have mildly modified my 05 GT I have a BBK CAI, along with a set of 18" GT500 Wheels 10's in the rear, 9's in the front. The rubber in the rear 285-40-18 Goodyear Eagle supercar. The exhaust now has an X pipe with a set of magna flow mufflers.

What gear ratio should I upgrade to, and finally how difficult is it to accomplish. Should a shop perform this procedure or can I take this on myself.

Id go 373 if manual or you plan on going forced induction which is why I picked them. Or go 4.10's. you'll love either

...or can I take this on myself?

If you don't already know, I would not recommend it. It takes several rear end jobs before you even have a clue as what to do.

Go 4.10, I did and I love them. If I ever want better mpg and less acceleration I can always buy taller tires for the rear.
