Anyone got sound clips of SLP axle backs with off road H pipe?

I'm not sure if you're thinking about going with that setup, but, I'm going to tell you right now, don't do it. You will wake up the dead, your neighbors and people who live in the next state over. It isn't a good sound either, it just screams, trumpets and drones. I currently have a O/R X and Pype Bombs and it is just stupid loud. I'm getting mufflers welded in this weekend and I've only had my O/R X and Pype Bombs for 1 week. Take it from a guy who loves loud cars (me) I've had LT1s and LS1s and I thought loud was just awesome. On these 3v motors...It isn't awesome. Catted x or h and mid mufflers is the way to go.

+1 to a degree. The 3v's have a weird sound to them when it comes to loudmouths, and it isn't a good one, this is coming from someone who runs loudmouths and loves them

Running loudmouths is a really good sound, no doubt about that. Loudmouths with a catless X or H pipe is going to sound like a semi truck with headers and straight pipes, ha.

Blah blah blah. What sound do you want? This set up is only for loudness. Sounds good but very loud. This is what I have. Except a catback not axle. If you want loud get this. Now. If you want deep start over

What year mustang do you have though...? Man...With O/R X and Pype Bombs my car is so loud and sounds like complete garbage. The trumpeting at 1900rpms is the worst sound in the entire world. Decel sounds like im running over thousands of glass bottles filled with marbles.

Doesn't really matter if a 2v post in a different section or not, if a 2v starts a thread in 3v that's different

Off-road x will be louder than the H,simply because the H is alittle deeper I think slp sounds great with both types of midpipes tbh

Please listen to me, lol...I just put on an X pipe with an axleback exactly identical to SLPs. It trumpets so bad, its embarrassing to drive by people. A 2v sounds COMPLETELY different than a 3v. A 2v with x pipe and SLP sounds amazing. 3v....NO. If you want the best setup go with longtubes, catted x, midmuffler and axleback of any choice.

Again, I repeat......O/R X or O/R H with SLP on a 3v is no bueno.

Drive with the windows up. Don't try to have a phone call lol. I'm getting m80 mufflers welded in this weekend, so I will let you know how the sound is after that happens. Maybe you want your mustang to sound like a tractor though. ALl the power to ya'. Good luck man.
