Rotors?

Hey does anyone know if your front rotors are the same as the rear rotors/can be swapped for them?

My girlfriend needs new rear rotors and I'm replacing all of mine with a full kit so my fronts are perfectly fine and I wanted to see if I could just give her mine till she gets some more money.

They're different sizes if I can recall. Search an auto parts store for the correct answer.

They aren't heavily used haha. They are enough to allow her to pass inspection and earn some money to buy fresh ones. We are both college students and don't have a lot of spare money so I figured this would buy time. Hey, I'm using them right now so they are safe. I'm just getting a complete kit instead of just replacing my rear rotors. Trust me. I wouldn't do it if I didn't think it was safe

So why don't you buy her NEW rotors and you keep your brakes? After all, "YOU WOULDN'T DO IT YOU DIDN'T THINK THERE WERE SAFE!"

Haha. Okay this is the scoop. My rear rotors and brakes are done for. My friend has a performance parts business so I wnt through him and they had a special on a full rotor and brake combo front and rear so I figured so what. They are slotted performance brakes because I "f" around a lot on the streets. My girl needs rotors to pass inspection so I was thinking of giving her my front rotors since mine are still good. Maybe I'm just not seeing it. I don't have the money to buy her new rotors right now and new rotors for me which I do way more driving than her (about 15 hours more a week)

Why do you need new rotors? Just buy pads and get the stock rotors turned, cheapest route and perfectly safe

You only need new rotors if yours are damaged or doesn't have enough stock left to get turned or if you want new ones

I have a 2006 Roush stage 3 mustang with 14" 2-piece front rotors. My question is can the disc part of the 2 piece rotor be replaced, or do I have to get a whole new 2-piece rotor which will cost me about $400.00 each? I'm looking for a cheaper 2-piece 14" rotor that is equivalent to the Roush brand. Any suggestions?
