New suspension.

Well gang I've sprung (haha) for new koni yellow adjustable dampers and some h&r race springs. Is there any pre written comprehensive guide on how to replace suspension on a 2006 mustang gt?

Look on American muscle on how to install lowering springs for that brand, then instead of putting the springs on the old struts, just replace with the new struts

I would go out and get the GT 500 strut mounts. When I replaced my Shocks and struts I read a few post about the crap strut mounts that are on our GT's so I ordered some from AM and glad I did. When taking my springs off the strut mounts basically just fell apart and I had ball bearings all over the garage floor. Tousley Ford has them on sale for $84.70, but I just called AM to price match them. As far as Install Ive only done the shocks, I didnt swap out the springs.

So I'm seeing the gt500 strut mounts on am for 109. Gonna go ahead and order those. Anything else I should be worried about? Any hardware I might need? This Is my daily so I'm doing my best to make it a one day thing.

As long as you have a floor jack, jack stands, and some air/hand tools, you'll easily be able to do this job in one day! Also, here's a link with strut/shock installation instructions. They're for Eibach struts/shocks, but there's really no difference.

Hope this helps!

Sounds good! Let us know how everything went. I'm definitely interested in pics. Plus, you can be the first to add installation instructions to our AM site for the yellow Koni struts/shocks. Which, can yield you up to a $200 AM gift card!

Oh wow that sounds very tempting. So would I just get it all laid out in a word document and send it to you for approval?

Yup just make step by step instructions with pictures for most if not all the steps. Just pretend you are trying to teach someone stupid so others with less mechanical experience can do it

Something along the lines of that. Make sure there's lots of clear pictures and a nice step-by-step guide and you'll be good. Here's a link to more details and the place where the guides need to be submitted.

Good luck!

Shane

Well, I ordered H&R race springs, GT500 strut mounts, and Koni sport shocks/struts. It all got here Tuesday EXCEPT for the koni's.. I called up AM and apparently they have been back ordered and won't be back in stock till late October

It didnt say they were out of stock when I ordered them. Not to be that guy but I wish I could get some sort of compensation. Guess it's just a waiting game, till then the springs and mounts will reside in the garage.
