Automatic transmission shifting 1 to 2 and then to 3.

Alright guys I have a question. It may seem dumb but oh well I gotta ask.
I have an 06 gt automatic. Yes I know I should have gotten a stick shift but I got a really good deal on this car so I took it. Anyways. I have a really badass exhaust setup ajd today I was messing around with the transmission and for the first time ever, I wondered what the 1 2 and 3 gear options were under the D (drive). What do u use those for? Besides like engine breaking. And so I decided to use them as if I had a stick shift oviously without a clutch and shifting from 1 to 2 and then to 3 and finally to D. That made my car sound so good since the rpm goes higher than usual. The thing is I dont know if its safe for the transmission to do that. So is it safe? Or will it **** up the transmission? Thanks. And I know it may be a stupid question but like I said might as well ask. CAUSE KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!! not horsepower but power ha

I have a friend that was shifting the gears in his automatic 06 gt every time he got Into the car, about a month or 2 later he had to have his transmission rebuilt, the 123 options are there but the transmission is not really made to do it everyday and all day, I would say just do it every know and then or else u will be going through transmissions like crazy unless u get a stronger and more performance tranny

Just use the overdrive, it works and doesn't hurt the transmission much as the shifting of 1,2,3 would.
I mean I can feel 1,2,3 hurting the transmission real bad.
I never used them till recently my transmission blew so I could manually downshift and drive it home.

On a Peformance transmission (replaced completely) I think it can take the beating from 1,2,3 no problem. But at point it might take its troll.

My best fix this problem is by using overdrive or just step on the gas to the floor.
I wouldn't need worry about 1,2,3 messing up transmission if used manually.

Yeah, you can always save up till your transmission breaks then buy a 5r55 street fighter. Or swap for manual.

I will update the process on the difference on my new upcoming replacement 5r55 street fighter auto for my blown stock transmission. Should be 1 more week before it gets here.

I can't drive manual as a daily, because of knee. If I was that rich? I would def got a manual toys for the weekends.

It is supposedly to be better than the stock one. Has 850hp rating.
Shifts better.
Improved clutch and such.
I don't like saying anything good or bad about item before I try it.
But brenspeed is pretty good company far as I have read. So I think I'll be pleased.
