Which one?

I found 2 strut tower braces on american muscle but don't know which one to go with. There is the sr performance black stb and then there is the black stb. I know sr is a good brand but the other one is $50 cheeper and i wouldn't mind saving a little bit of money. Is there any difference in the two?

This is what you do....

Take that $150 or $200 you're going to spend and buy some lower control arms. If not that, buy an x pipe. If not an x pipe, save the $200 and add it to the "get some 4.10s fund".

Strut tower braces are as helpful and a throttle body spacer. Save your money my man.

I have the SR brace and like that it uses all four studs. I don't know if it is any better, however it fits really good on my 08.

@op...$150 would be the most i'd ever spend on a STB...but here's some generics that look pretty stout

I do live around pretty straight roads thinking about it...But, come on...You could actually tell the difference between having a strut tower and not having a strut tower? No way. I've never heard ANYONE say, "Ohhh, this strut tower brace helped my car so much"! I had one on my bolt on LS1 and my bolt on LT1...Couldn't tell a thing. Pypes X pipe is cheaper and sounds great on my 09gt.

well i have had 3 mustangs and all three receive stiffening and suspension goodies first and foremost...and yes i can tell a difference. i run mountain roads and autox events so maybe thats why we both had different experiences with them. Add a shock tower brace to the mix and you have a nice little stiff ride for what little you add.

Yes, the more expensive one will also fit on a 05-14 GT, V6 and the CHEAPER one if for 05-10 GT.

Black Mustang Strut Tower Brace (05-10 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com 94334
These are both great strut bars and will definitely do the trick. The SR Performance will stiffen up your car a little bit more than the second option, mainly because it bolts to all 4 strut bolts, compared to just two! They're going to give you a similar look and have the same finish.

This will definitely help you eliminate unwanted body roll and chassis flex! I went with the SR Performance on my S197 GT and have absolutely complaints.

I hope this helps. Hit me up if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future!
