Ok... I just finished ordering 5r55 street fighter.

Now other thing threw me under bus. Was the torque converter.

Called they said it was bad idea to get a 3000 tci stall torque converter for DD.
I race probably every once a month(Mexico.)

I am not getting new gears. I like mine stock because of the way I drive.

Only wanted get new torque converter, at the same time I want it to be strong good for surprise race in Mexico if needed.

I had little bit issue on finding a stock converter torque as brenspeed recommended.

Now I'm going with the 3000 torque converter tci. But wanted make sure my investment will be well spent.
Will this last me at least over 50,000-100,000 miles?
My maintenance is very very important to me, so I maintance every time it's needed. Going maintenance my transmission again every 25,000 miles.

I might end up ordering better cooling for transmission so it lasts longer.
Do not want go though transmission replace / rebuild again for at least other 50,000-100,000 miles.

Already had 3 cars that had blown transmission. And it is annoying the freak out of me.

-Sorry for asking. I did research. Just can't seem get right opinions / experience from these research.
Especially with the new 5r55...
Loving the days when you travel down to Mexico to push your car to the limits!
