If it is just for the sound it's a waste of money. Sounds sweet but too much money just for the lopey idle

I will assume you mean the "4.6" sounds like doody butter without the cats, correct?! Reason being is that I have shorty headers, no cats, H-pipe and flowmaster mufflers and my 07 GT V8 has that horrible Italian rasspy car sound. I'm trying to troubleshoot what I can do to get that low throatty sound that I've wanted since childhood!

Hey hey. You watch your mouth with that blasphemy! My 2v 4.6 sounds awesome with my Bassani o/r x pipe. -.- The 2v and 3v 4.6s sound a lot different.

I like 2v over 3v exhaust. Maybe your ****ty exhaust sound is becauE you have flowmaster. Hmmm. Don't say that these cars sound like crap without cats because I'll make you drive home with your tail between your legs after earring my exhaust.

The 4v is the best sounding but I like the sound of my 3v more than my 2v. My 2v was way louder but the 3v is deep throaty and is still noisy when I get on it

Kooks longtubes, Pypes O/R X pipe, M80 mid mufflers and Pype Bombs makes the 3v sound too sick.

You know, I've been thinking the same thing about the flowmaster...Crappy. The flowmaster was good on my Lincoln Mark VII and my Thunderbird, but not too happy with the outcome on the Mustang.

I think it's funny that a simple thread about why my exhaust is getting quieter, turns into a huge discussion about what sounds best and what belongs where hahaha

I had that setup for 1 week before I couldn't take the 2k rpm trumpeting anymore. Sounded terrible. Added midmufflers and now its amazing. Straight pipes is just crazy. People would just look at me funny when stopped at the stoplights. Sounded like a John Deere.

It wont get quieter though... as many exhaust setups as ive had ive never had one get quieter but I get use to them.. they will get broken in but most of the time they will get a little louder after numerous heat cycles
