what's wrong with my exhaust?

so i recently installed an off road h pipe, i do not have a tune, but its been running perfectly fine. i recently began to notice that while im driving, and the more/longer i drive, my exhaust get quieter. when i start it up it sounds normal. and no its not because its cold or anything, at first it would change a tiny bit when it warmed up but it was still MUCH louder than it has been. any ideas? could it be a leak? i finally got a job so i think im going to save up and get my exhaust redone, the place that put my pype bombs on did a real ****ty job. i think that may help but im not 100% sure.

The same thing happens to my car, I have an h-pipe with no mufflers but my exhaust doesn't get as low as where I can't hear it, I always hear it but it goes from going loud as hell then after driving it a while goes noticeably quieter.

Pype bombs are easy as **** to install. Just put it on jackstands and crawl under there. As long as that metal alignment nub has been ground down after taking the stocks off, the pypes should slide into place and you can torque the hell out of them to keep them tight. Save yourself some cash and just check them.

If I get the pypes o/r x pipe will my axle backs mount to them or will more pipe need to be added?

There is about 2.5 feet of pipe in between the x pipe and axleback. Its just straight pipe.

So I would need a piece to be bent and welded for my axle backs to connect?

No. You have existing pipes there already that your axleback is already bolted to. Which is the stock 2.5 feet of straight pipe.

Here is a little diagram;

Manifolds---> X pipe--->Stock straight pipes (it ends above the rear axle) ---> Axleback

Raspy or deep?

X: rasp
H: deep

X is also a bit louder. And better performance gains.

I had O/R X pipe with Pype Bombs and it scared every human I drove past and it didn't sound good at all. I had people stopping me going, "damn, that is stupid loud". So, I welded in M80 mid mufflers and now it sounds like a wicked 2v. X pipe is raspier sounding, like a ferrari...H is deeper, muscle like sound. X pipe will get you 2-4 more horsepower too, which isn't much, but hey.......Everything counts.

Yep. This is my car with O/R Pypes X pipe and Pype Bomb Axleback. It sounds amazing in the video, but when you hit 2000 to 3000rpms, it sounds like a 5th grade girl playing a trumpet for the first time. Its terrible.

So if I dont like the pypes o/r x can a high flow cat be added without modifying the kit?

Sure, you can add whatever, whenever. But, my advice...Do it right the first time. But, if money isn't an issue, test a bunch of stuff. I'm telling youth though, O/R X with Pype Bombs is basically straight pipes. It sounds like crap.

Go with Pypes, they are one of the cheapest and best sounding. Unless, you wanna' drop 700 on Corsa, because Corsa sounds so sick.
