The cost to ship wheels

Anyone ever ship a set of wheels? From tx to FL or Va, just long distance period, what's the cheapest way to go about this ?

I shipped a set of Corvette wheels and tires to California from Chicago. For reference, they were 19" wheels w/345/35/19 on the rears. Anyway, by far the cheapest was taking it straight to a UPS hub (don't go to a store front). I believe I paid $90 for all 4 with additional insurance.

If you don't have boxes for them, which I didn't. Just place a piece of cardboard on each side of the wheel and secure them with packaging tape. My wheels arrived perfect and without a single scratch. Good luck.

The stores are independently owned. They make their money by jacking up rates. It's always best to go directly to the hub for larger items.
