bama tuner

i just recently got a tuner and i sent the info bout my car and when i put the tunes in my car i cant seem to get any better gas mileage. its a gt so i dont expect great gas mileage but i need good gas mileage for a drive to california from mississippi until i get there and i can put a different tune on it. with the street tune i can barely get over 9mpg and the performance i can only get 5mpg. i have 3.73 gears and a cai. but other people say they get 26 on highway with the street tune and 15 city. i dont know if im doing something wrong or what but i called and got new tunes and it still does the same thing. will my gt get a great if i run 93 octane. i just need better gas mileage for the drive for now.

No way you should get 5mpg on the tune. Either your calculations are wrong or the tune is seriously wrong.

Are you going by the mpg it tells you on your dash? Or did you fill the entire tank up and do the math?

Drag cars can get better than that lol. Give bama a call and make sure your tune was done correctly. They dont mind double checking your tune if you ask.

I second the MS comment. Ive tried to move twice and end up right back here. What part you live in? And OP what part you going to?
Glad the gas mileage worked out i get anywhere from 21-25 mpg no tune yet

Somethings definitely wrong there. A tune has actually been proven countless times to actually increase MPG. I picked up about 3-4 MPG in my 2011 GT when Bama tuned it! To see a decrease of 10+ MPG just doesn't make any sense. Are you calculating this yourself and doing the math? Because the on board calculator has never been very accurate!

Also, could it be that you're driving the car a little harder now since it's tuned? We can definitely look into this again for you and try and help figure out what's going on. Maybe it's time for a tune up, plugs, wires, fuel filter etc...

Just let the Bama team know and we'll help you out! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Well Louisiana is better, but MS is a part of the Who Dat Nation. So its all good. I live right on the border in Bogalusa, LA. About an hour from Hattiesburg. I bet the OP is either in Meridian or Gulfport. Am I right??

Brett Farve Country! Lol.

If you can't find 93, Octane booster will be perfectly fine. NOS makes a nice one that will bump you up about 3-5 Octane points. AutoZone carries it. Good luck finding an AutoZone in "Prius Land" though.

...that stuff might bump it up .03 octane points at best. Either run what they have or invest in torco to run all the time.

Seriously!? The offroad stuff is what I'm referring to. That's a bit disappointing....
