Safe boost?

Okay I made up my mind on a supercharger don't really know what kind to get pro charger or Kenny bell, it's my daily driver and I drive it down once a month to the track, my ? Is what's a good HP/TQ numbers to stay in so I don't blow up the engine? I already have a Long tubes and full exhaust that's why I kinda don't wanna do turbo love my LTs too much lol. I drive apx. 30 miles a day.

Depends if you go intercooled or not. The kenne bell and procharger are like comparing apples to oranges. Theyre both great but different applications to get the job done. The kenne bell has a great powerband low and throughout and is really fun and sounds sweet. The pc doesn't really hit full boost until 3500 rpms but a great equalizer are gears and often are more optimal for a daily driver because not everyone wants full boost everywhere and more strain on your drivetrain. Both are great and fun and have their own cool sound. Its personal preference really. For reliability on a daily get intercooled and a good fuel system or skip the intercooler and stay low boost like 6psi. 10 is usually a safe intercooled number. But your tune plays a huge role too. Get a good custom tune from a reputable tuner.

You'll have to upgrade your tires and suspension some too to get traction to be able to compete with the 5.0.

Get the Procharger i-1. It acts kind of like a twin screw and a centri, best of both worlds... It also has the ability to change boost level kind of like a turbo, no need to be swapping pullies to change boost.

go with a kenne bell it comes with a safe reliable tune that they have literally spent hundreds of hours working on !! not some guy that might be able to tune it... or blow it up !!

The roots style SC does hit "Full Boost" automatically either like people make it sound.
It just happens a lot quicker.
On most of my daily commutes normal driving shifting around 1.8-2.2k
I doubt it ever sees more than a few pounds if that at all.
Now if I punch it in first the roots style is responsible for instant torque and max boost by 1,000-1,500rpm.
But just cruising. It really never sees boost.

I made the mistake of going with a Roush M-90 and I am already bored with it. Definitely go with a Kenne Bell or another 2.3 TVS type super charger.

I had it tuned locally and they ( Revolution Automotive) were able to pull another almost 40hp out of the setup over the roush tune that came with the kit.

Hey man. I'm sure all superchargers are great , but I'm running the kenne bell 2.6 stage 2 intercooled. It runs 10 psi and it's a blast to drive. If you have a stock car, I believe it comes with its own tune. , but I had other mods so I had to get a custom tune made up.

I daily mine with 22 pounds of boost.
the reason more ppl don't have kenne bell is because they don't wholesale to companies the price is the same to me and you as any other company, so companies can't mark up the kit they can only charge to install, where as vortech and others sells it cheaper to companies so they can mark it up and charge to install it..
