Tell me about your cams

I'm really looking into buying a cam since black friday is around the corner (and Basahol bought one and now I'm jealous). I'm looking for a little quick info from anyone who has some good insight. Tell me about your cam. Would you buy it again? Would you have bought something else? Worth the money? Which cams would you guys say is recognized as putting up good numbers on the dyno?

From what I have read, the FRPP cams really aren't making too much power and it appears no one is too impressed by the power, but much more of the sound. I'm really only looking into cams that are no springs required and no phaser business neither.

Mutha Thumpr? Detroit Rocker? FRPP?

Help me out guys! Thanks all.

Ok well what's more important sound or power?

Brenspeed and frpp are similar sound and performance and most say the Brenspeed drives better and picks up a few more pony

If you aren't concerned with sound so much the comp cam 127200 is good for you, solid gains

Only advice is have LT headers to maximize the gains, and just don't expect huge numbers on the dyno, after all its a small nsr cam

P's don't waste your money on motha thumpers

I have the FRPP and really Luke the sound. I did them the same time I did my full exhaust. The power increase was definitely noticeable but I can't be sure how much came from the cams.

Basahol; You're going to have a sick sounding car very soon...Too sick.

If I decided I wanted the comp cams, wouldn't I need to buy the phaser kit too?

No not with the 127200 it's a stage 2 NSR
http://www.brenspeed.com/127200.html
But the idle is very mild, don't get it expected it to lope hard
