RPM deceleration slow to idle

So it all started on black friday when I got a CEL for cold start exhaust temp low. I cleaned the throttle body and the CEL stopped and hasn't been on since. Now I've noticed that when I put it in neutral the rpms will slow decrease down to idle where before they would drop fast. It's costing me mpg and if I get on it then let off then the rpms stay up too long. Kinda embarassing coasting with your foot off the gas and your car revving at 4000 rpms. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance
