Spark Plug Question

I have a spark plug question.....the diagram in Haynes shows cylinders 1 thru 4 on one bank and 5 thru 8 on the other. Are they positioned numbering them from standing in front of the engine or from the rear? I am not any sort of a mechanic and I had a P0305 code come up, meaning cylinder-5 misfired. I want to know where cylinder-5 lies as I stand in front of the vehicle. Any help?

I got my response from a Mustang guru locally. No need for any further input. Y'all can close this thread.....
