Painted radiator covers from am

Has anyone bought the painted radiator covers from AM ? I love the look but it sounds like the the fit isn't that great from the reviews . Just looking for some input on them

I took mine off ,cleaned it,and sent it to my local paint shop. Shouldn't run you more than $45 and you keep OEM fitment. I took black and it really dressed up the engine bay nicely

Not a bad idea . They want 300 for the kit with the extensions .

I painted my unpainted extensions and they fit great on the car, I don't see what people are complaining about.

If I do paint the radiator cover, I'm going to remove the factory label on it, paint it gloss black and then reapply the sticker to maintain a factory look. I do like the black radiator cover fitting with the look of the black grille.

I was worried about the same thing . I like to keep original integrity.... when my paint shop did the work they just covered that area in masking tape (over the sticker) and it came out great... nothing like true oem fitment as well.

Hey,

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner, because I had one of these on my 06 and was really happy with it. It really gave the engine bay some pop!

There has been a couple of isolated fitment issues, however for the most part these have been a pretty consistent fit. We do stand behind any kind of fitment issue. So, if you were to purchase this and experience any kind of fitment problem we would happily take it back, give you a full refund, and pay for the return shipping.

I have seen many of these done at home and look spectacular, but I have also seen some of them not come out so well. Either way you go, definitely post a picture for us to see how it came out. I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch. Good luck!

-Dan
