06 gt

I have an 06 gt with 17 x 10 in wheels and was wondering if I can lower the car without any problems. Also whats the average ground clearance mine right now is 5 1/2 in but my lowering springs are 1 1/2 in.

Hey,

I am assuming you only have the 17x10 wheels in the back. If my assumption is correct, the springs you have should work with no issues what so ever. At least with our wheels, we guarantee fitment up to a 2" drop, and I cannot imagine they are drastically different, if they are not ours.

If your springs offer a 1.5" drop, that should give you about 4" of ground clearance depending on where you are measuring from. The drop is a 1 to 1 ratio unlike some vehicles.

I hope this information helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch. Good luck!

Hey,

My apologies, many people only put the 10s on the back and they just say the rear size because it is the largest of the 4. Sorry for the confusion.

I am actually a little surprised that works with the current set you have now. Often times anything wider than a 9 rubs, even with the factory suspension.

There is nothing on the market that I could confidently say will not rub with the 10s on the front. If you go down to 9s up front, I would say nearly any spring up to a 2" drop will work.

If have any other questions, feel free to get back in touch.
