Buying A '07 with Long tube headers

Hey I am thinking about buying a '07 with Long tube headers. The problem is there is a exhaust leak on the right side where the headers seal to the block. I'm not sure how long its been like that but I hear its a relatively cheap to fix but will it affect long term. I've heard a leak at the block like that can ruin valves in the past. (on gocart briggs motors) thanks for any advice.

P.S. I will be getting the car for $500 less than KBB "fair" price. Reasoning- Wrinkled tinting, loose exhaust hangers, needs tires.
