Removal of rear emblem

i havent tried again , how the hell do you get to the bolts ? their behind a steel panel

My goof. The faux gas cap is behind the trunk lid, not the trunk bottom! The bolts/clips I was refering to are what hold the center emblem to the chrome outer ring. Gotta get the whole thing off first.

Notice that there's an outer ring of 2 sided tape, AND a large circular piece in the center around the alignment tabs. It's a bear, but eventually you can wiggle some fishing line or dental floss around the outer sides, and then through the two sided large piece in the center.
