Sorry to tell you man but your stock mustang vs supra probably gonna lose. But far as acceleration I'd suggest 3.73 gears a short shifter upgraded control arms for rear to prevent wheel hop and upgraded clutch package.

If that Supra is a Mk4 (1993+) and is a turbo model, well .. you picked the wrong "dirtbag" to try to race.

He will stomp you easily. Unless you have forced induction or a 150 shot. Even then, 400 rwhp on a Supra is easily done.

If he's one of the guys who bought a Supra that isn't turbo'd well then, you should pull him stock.

Agreed. If he has the Turbo 2JZ then you are done.

i don't know what he's got in that thing, but either way, racing a supra or not i still want upgrade a little. I'm thinkin the 3.73 gears cause i heard the 4.1 takes the mpg's down and its my daily driver. Also i wanted to get some american muscle headers and a Bama tuner but there are so many different tuners, i don't know which one would be best for my car. Thanks for the help so far.

This is all dependent on whether the Supra is stock. If he is, then tune/intake and gears should make it a drivers race in the 1/4 with edge to the supra after 100 MPH.

100% stock MK4 Supras run low 13's @ 107+. Stock, they seem to be as fast or slightly faster than an LS1 Fbody.

That being said, I don't think I have ever personally seen a stock Mk4 Supra. With just an intake, exhaust and boost controller, they are capable of low 12's @ 115+.

Take it cool and have a slow start while listening to your burble from the exhaust and just enjoy the ride, though make sure to give some rev before the start to get him going early if possible . He can go all the way to Japan with the supra
