I purchased a SR Performance braided steel hydraulic clutch line from AM. Has anyone changed this. I'm trying to figure out how to get the clips out and I'm not succeeding. Any help would greatly be appreciated. My car is an 05 GT
There is a metal retaining clip holding the clutch line in. Use needle nose pliers or a small screw driver to pop the retaining clip out. Then bam it just slides out.. Now don't loose the clip.. That's why I suggest needle nose, it's a c$&# trying to find one of those clips!
What breather? I reused the plastic fittings yes. It's as simple as pulling the old ones out of the plastic fitting installing the new and install the metal retaining clip..
Hmm I have an 06 and I didn't notice a bleeder when I removed mine.. Hhmm I would say the bleeder gets removed. Unless you can install the new line into the bleeder.. Did you buy your car used?
No bought it new. I know the bleeder was not used in all years but don't know when that was. It's a right angle fitting into the trans and the bleeder points rearward and up at a 45deg ang
I had a bleed valve on mine, an 06. But good luck trying to get to it while it's all hooked up, it's impossible!!
