Any of the email tuners can help you out and yes it will make a difference. Throttle response is one of things I noticed first and since I have an automatic transmission the adjusted shift response was a nice extra.

Don't ask which tuner is the best, because you will get everyone's opinion. Do some research and pick one that you are comfortable with and go for it. This is what I did and I am very happy with them. Most of the email tunes are conservative tunes to begin with, so you should not have any issues with any of the top tuners out there.

Good luck.

You'll absolutely notice improved performance with a custom tune on your bone stock '05 GT. S197 Mustangs especially perform well with a custom tune because they tend to have a lot of throttle lag from the factory. This is drastically improved with a custom tune, among other things. You'll experience an increase of power throughout the RPM range and possibly a slight increase in MPG if driven correctly.

A custom tune is great without a doubt, but you'll pick up significantly more HP & TQ if it's paired with a CAI. The factory 05-09 GT intakes are fairly restrictive and truly benefit from an aftermarket CAI, like Airaid or JLT.

You can always feel free to contact me via PM if you have more questions or concerns down the road!

A Bama tune will make a big difference, probably more than anything short of a supercharger. I would suggest upgrading your intake at the same time. I have the Airaid. I've also replaced the intake manifold, throttle body, and installed long tube headers but the tune was the most noticeable upgrade so far.
