Why not paint, instead of wrapping it?

Paint chips, wrap can take a beat from rocks and other debris.

How long is it rated for? I wrapped my work truck and started fading bad after 4 years.

Plasti-dip is far from durable. Its cheaper and allows for easy removal, but is the shortest lasting of the bunch. A vehicle wrap if done correctly looks great, but will fade with age depending on use (left outside, etc).

Painting is the most expensive by far, but is usually the best looking. You can get your car plasti-dipped for $500. A vehicle wrap can cost $1500-3000, and paint (for a quality job) $3000+. Obviously prices vary, especially if you have a "friend" at a shop. Your call. With a vehicle wrap you can do some exotic finishes, like matte or satin, which you otherwise couldn't do with paint (except really really pricey paint). Plasti-dip has some cool color options too.
