Idle dropping

So, I got a used tuner unlocked and everything, no tunes from AM or Steeda or anyone yet as I can afford it yet, but I found out you can change the rev limiter and such with out having to have custom tunes so I tried it, for some reason my "driving limiter" would cut me off at 2600rpm which is what I set the neutral limiter too, so I did restore to stock, it runs normal but now when I stop, my idle drops to 500 and raises back up to 1k and it will just go up and down repeatedly. Is this normal when using tunes for the first time? Will it go back to normal after driving for a bit? If possible could someone send me a tune file for 06 gt with off road pipe as I'm desperate for a tune. Any help would be great.

Idle dropping

I don't think that is normal at least I've never heard anyone say that.

I wish I knew more, but I'm not the most savvy person when it comes to engine tunes. Give me front brakes, over heating, and misc. engine codes for 500 please. Haha

What kind of tuner is it? I bought a SCT tuner shortly after buying my car. The "canned" tunes pre-loaded on the tuner worked flawlessly. I upgraded to Bama tunes for life after I started adding mods to my car.

When I put a tune on mine I was having the same issue and sometimes when I slowed down or stopped it would stall from idling so low. So after looking at a lot of forums I took off the throttle body, CAI, and mass air flow sensor and cleaned them all. I put them back on and everything was fixed and the car has never run better.

Sct, I'm trying the strategy tune, which I read is the canned tunes?

I've seen that, I'm not to sure how to clean them though? I've also read that you have to do a idle relearn process and that'll help

You do have to do the idle relearn which I did but it didnt help at all. Thats when I cleaned everything and it worked. You can watch videos on youtube of how to do it and its pretty easy. You just have to make sure you use cleaners that are made for what your cleaning. So if the idle relearn doesnt work then I would clean everything.
