2009 GT loses power but remains idling

I have a 2009 Mustang Gt with only 30,000 miles with an automatic transmission.

Any help will be appreciated. Here are my symptoms.

Several times my vehicle while traveling down the road has lost power but the engine remains running at an idle.

This has occurred when I stepped down on the gas pedal while driving. The vehicle will lose power but remain idling. I do not lose any electrical power, all electrical remains
unchanged. the vehicle gas pedal can be pressed down to the floor and still no power just an idle. The vehicle will not move even in gear. This has not tripped any codes.

Once you shut off the vehicle it will restart and everything is back to normal.

Thanks for your help, anyone else had this problem ?

Any suggestions ?

Could be the computer or the throttle. It's a drive by wire system, no direct throttle cable linkage. Have you hooked up a code reader to see if you have any codes?

Thanks for the response, It hasnt thrown any codes. I had a local advanced auto check for codes and it didn't show any. I guess Im going to have to take it to a dealer and have them check to see if they can retrieve any codes ?

Have you ever heard of this happening before ?

You need to get that car to the dealer to have it looked at. If it loses power while you're driving, that could be dangerous, especially since you have to shut it off to reset it. Do the right thing.

I bought the car used so I dont know if its been tuned. It still had the factory air filter and all other factory parts. I know the factory parts could have been put back on before the car was sold but i doubt it. I dont think its been tuned. I'm old school muscle car this is all new to me...lol thanks for responding.
