A/C Clicking 2010 V6

At least I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Cursory research suggests its an actuator behind the dash. It clicks for a couple seconds solid when I start the car, and I can replicate it almost flawlessly by switching between defrost, the lower vents and the middle vents.

The clicking is annoying, but it's still working. It's been going on for a couple of weeks and started pretty suddenly. As in one day it was not clicking and the next it was.

This car is my daily driver and I drive a lot through the week so it's well out of warranty. Is this a thing I can get to without going nuts taking the dash apart? What's the ballpark cost if I have to count my pennies and let the dealership do it (if anybody even knows)? Is it going to eventually quit working or will it just click until it's fixed?

Appreciate any help anybody can give me!

I just recently got a 2010 gt and had the same issue. The actuator is a cheap part but requires removing the dash I believe. Not sure what labor is since it was replaced under the purchase agreement. I was told by a mechanic friend that the actuator keeps resetting (hence the clicking sound) but does still work. I hope this is helpful.

Supposedly you can get to it by removing the glove box.
