Exhaust bracket help....

I am in the process of changing to FR500 axle backs on my 2010. The passengers side went on without too much trouble. However the bolt on the bracket between the muffler and the frame will not move more than a quarter turn. Any ideas would be appreciated. I would prefer not to cut the old one off in case I ever want to go back. Is it bad to run two different mufflers?

Thanks in advance.
