New Mustang!

Hey guys! I just recently got out of my 14' V6 into an 06' GT! It's tungsten grey and has 23k miles on it. I know the 6 has a tiny bit more horses, but it's been too long w/o a GT. So, as I transfer from the V6 forum to the GT, any advice, suggestions, mod ideas, etc? I know a bit about the 4.6, but it's my first one so any thoughts are appreciated.

Here's a pic of her:

Very nice! They make just about everything for these cars. My advice is to look at the parts sites like AM and see what catches your eye. Don't buy stuff just because people think it's cool looking.
Make the car yours, all yours.

Good luck!

Not a clue. Looks bone stock to me, louvers look to be the only aftermarket pieces on the car.

First thing I would do is a tune or a cai/tune combo. Our 05-09's respond pretty well in the performance end with this combo. I'm really happy with my roush cai and bama tune.

Def on the CAI and tuner, I went with Airaid and Bama. Like those premium wheels.

Borla is so expensive though. Im looking for that more "budget" exhaust that is to the point of obnoxious. Never really looked into SLP, I was settled on the Flows Outlaws because of how aggressive they sounded on YouTube... Of course though, YouTube doesn't do any exhaust justice lol.

Borlas are expensive but they are worth it. But there is a video that compares them on a 2000's gt's if you wanna see that.

If you are going for the looks first, I would get her lowered with staggered wheels, if you are going performance wise first, CAI/tuner combo, then exhaust.

Well, exhaust is my first thing. I can't stand buying a GT and not being able to hear it roar lol. After that, I'm focusing on appearance mods.

Just installed Flowmaster Outlaws on my '08 Gt a few weeks ago and love them! Exhaust sound is all a matter of what sound you are looking for. Haven't heard an exhaust on a Mustang that I didn't like.
