Dyno Run

Had my 05 Stang dyno tuned today. I'm running JLT cai, Pypes long tube headers O/R x-pipe stock axle back and a Dyno tune from Dan at Pro-Dyno in Fort Mill, SC. Dan knows his stuff.

Like a brand new car. Next on the list is a set of Detroit rocker cams and 3.73s.

Yeah. Im going to get him to install the cams too. He thinks and says he could get around 350 rear wheel hp with the cams.

Nice man is he gonna charge you hourly for the re tune or is it still the flat dyno fee? That's something I meant to ask him myself. I was thinking of either going to a smaller SC pulley or doing headers. (One or the other I can't decide at the moment) and I didn't know if he had tuned you previously if the rate for the tune is different.

Do the dyno numbers look good? I was thinking with the mods I have they looked pretty good.

I think they're good. Probably added 40-50 RWHP with your mods from stock. And a dyno tune is always better than a canned guess tune. That way you know your leaving nothing (power wise) on the table.

Ill be going back in 2 or 3 weeks to get 3.73s. I can ask him about the cost of the dyno tunes.

I still run the stock 3:55, it's a decent gear not too tall and good for a s/c car. I put 3:73 in the 03 that I had though. Made a nice difference. You may want to put a nice soft compound tire on the rear after you get them put in, I remember it being real easy to spin after they went in sometimes when I didn't want too. It's a good gear though.
