Rims from American Muscle

Alright guys, let's see where this goes! I'm looking at black rims on the site but can't decide which ones to get for my pony, keep in mind I have the Alloy 07 GT. It's got tinted lights, black grille pony delete, and limo tent job. I have been going to ALOT of shows and Wanna keep repping american muscle therefore no other brand will be on my car! Which one do ya'll suggest?

Picked up a set of chrome bullets with tires for my wife's 14 last month from AM. My 08 Roush rims are staying on until I can afford the Super Snakes.

Chrome ain't real chrome anymore, doesn't look the same and plus I need black for the gt.

not a fan of black wheels (especially with the silver lip *pukes*) but since you got an alloy ill let it slide I'd recommend the AMR charcoals, they are the best imo.

also when you change rims TAKE OFF the rotor retention clips (theres one on each rotor looks like a small circle clip you can rip of with a plyer) AM reps will say you don't need to remove them but i noticed that 90% of the time they don't know what they are talking about. Remove the clips otherwise you will find yourself spending money over and over wondering why your wheels dont feel balanced...

Rims from American Muscle

I have the 2011 19' Cali specials on my 2007 Cali Special. These rims are not seen very often. Click image for larger version

^+1. Black wheels look good when they are broken up. All black wheels look good when the tires are clean, otherwise they look cheap and that's the first thing you notice.

Why the silver lip hate? I recently bought these Mickey Thompsons from AM. I wanted black for my theme but agree that the lip breaks it up. Pardon the dirty tires.

Just personal preference, I had them and didn't like Em as much as o thought I would over time, I rather have straight black with some silver in the outlines of the rims. Or just black

Well whatever you decide, maybe waiting until next month may be better. I just bought a set of wheels (gt500 style) not even 2 weeks ago and the price has already dropped $20 a wheel. Really sucks that I lost out on saving $80 just like that...definitely woulda put that $ towards getting another item. Sucks even more that they sent one wrong wheel so I still don't even have them on my car yet!!

Their policy is only within 3 days. Mine was slightly over that. Oh well.

When I see black wheels I think "meh". Probably because of this new plasti dip craze.

Silver lipped black wheels are an exception. They look more classy

As much as I do like Plasti-Dip (as an accenting tool), I can't see myself ever doing it on wheels.
