Need advice on my 0-60ft. Time

Soooooo I'm 2 stepping at 5000rpm, hook up is great. Then a quick lag comes and goes in first gear. Then I'm good for 13.1 in the 1/4 mile.
At 360 rwhp, I should be in the 12's. The problem lies in the 0-60. At it's best, it's 2.1 seconds.
Any ideas what the hiccup could be???

If you have a manual tranny, you could try slipping the clutch some to stop the bogging. Usually you gotta slip to stop spinning. Seems like it might help in your case though.

Ya, maybe I don't use the 2 step anymore and just try on my own feel with the clutch. I swear that's where th problem lies in my 0-60ft.

We've got only 2 more test and tune days left before they close the track for the season out here. I'm hoping to go to at least one. I'm planning to do try this as well. My 60ft's are always 2.2__ and I can't get DR's or slicks right now. I think I can work the clutch a little get it down. Every .10 you shave off is about worth .20 lower 1/4 time as long as the rest of the run goes well. That's the theory anyways.

If it doesn't seem to help your bogging, you could try launching at a higher RPM, but damn I'd be afraid about the drivetrain holding up unless it's built.

Good luck man!

Just want to let you guys know that I hit 12.8 on Halloween night!
That was my last chance to get into the 12's before track closed for the season.
I hit 12's 4 times. Switched to 4:10 gears and it improved my 0-60'

what suspension mods have you done to the car? ditch the drag radials and get either Hoosier QTP or M/T ET street bias ply rear tires, they work so much better with a manual trans.

my 2005: 302 rwhp, stock clutch/shifter/2pc driveshaft, 4.10 gears with truetrac diff, metco UCA and LCA's, BMR relocation brackets, strange single adj struts/shocks, cobrajet drag springs, M/T et street bias ply tires (26").

Best 60' so far is 1.611 launching at 6500 off the limiter (clutch dump)

good luck getting it all sorted out!

That's a great launch!
I just switched to 4:10's. I've yet to do anything to the suspension. Clutch is stock. Launching at 5000 with my 2 step.
