Increasing power

What's the best way to add horsepower to my car? I know it's a vague question, so I'll try to specify. I don't want to spend too much money, less than $1500, and want to try to get to atleast 350hp, currently I have a stock mustang. I was thinking high performance exhaust, and an intake, but those are pricey and I know they won't do too much for me.

Increasing power

The only thing you can really do in that price range is gears. They obviously won't increase your power, they will just make you accelerate faster giving the illusion of more power.

http://m.americanmuscle.com/fopege4ra.html

I have a cold air intake, tune, full exhaust, throttle body, and under drive pulleys and none of it really made a difference except the gears. Well I guess the tune did too but on a much smaller level.

The first time I floored it after the gear install (300$ for the local shop to do it by the way) I giggled like a little girl. It was really night and day difference.

Do you know what tune you did? Was it a tune through OBD2? Or a physical tune

Don't want to spend much money now or period? You could do exhaust/ intake/ and tune and that will help some but not 350 rwhp. Gears will make it feel more responsive but will hurt highway Mpgs depending what kind you get

It was off of a OBDII device. It wasn't a chip, if that's what you mean by physical.

This is what I have: http://m.americanmuscle.com/airaid-r...er-0509gt.html

The only way to get that much power with that much cash is nitrous. No other way

Nitrous would be the only way I think you would get that power for that amount of money. 100 shot and call it a day

Even then, a 100 shot probably won't put him at 350hp, unless he wants it to the crank and not the wheels. If its to the wheels he will need more than a 100 shot.

Agreed but it will yield the best bang for buck for his circumstances

When I had full bolt ons my car put down 316 and 315 torque. If you don't have headers intake exhaust etc... you may just put yourself in the low 320 -330 area without the basics on your 3v. you can check out some vids on youtube or forum discussions with people who have cams full bolt ons and 100 shot and make over 400 and a lot more torque

Nitrous is great, but watch what kit you get. Stay away from ZEX.
Go with nitrous outlet or NX.

Also the choice of a single nozzle or a plate.

A plate will give you better distribution vs a single nozzle. Also yields more tq out of a plate
