Supercharger, turbocharger, or nitrous. And a lot of it.

You would need to get into the mid 12's to beat a 5.0 but thats if he is 100% stock. Even with stock power levels if you do suspension work to a new 5.0 they can get into the 11's.

Don't most of the s197s run high 13s low 13s stock? I doubt you will knock 1.5 seconds off with just bolt ons unless you get into the suspension too.

Usually mid to high 13s for a stock 05-10 GT

No. They are not only lighter and have 112 more ponies, but their powerband is apparently much longer.

I test drove one and wasn't real impressed. I must of over hyped it in my head or something? It was faster but it wasn't like night and day. The 6 speed was really nice though. After 3 TR3650's that thing felt smooth as butter.

Just Get yourself some gears, cai, tune, and some nice sounding exhaust and call it a day.

If you drove an auto 5.0, you were likely disappointed because the auto shifting from the factory sucks.

You'll spend more money making a 4.6L comparable to a stockish 5.0 than selling what you have and just buying a 5.0... The 5.0 is pretty weak feeling in the lower powerband levels, if you didn't run it up to 6500-7000rpm during the test drive then you did it wrong.

Not weak in the lower power band. All depends on your tune and gear choice.

Coyote's remind me of Honda's with Vtech or a 125cc dirt bike. They suck down low, meh in the mid and are all top end.

I think we pissed off the coyote guys lol. Did I say I thought it was meh, I meat it was amazing and I'm trading in my 3v today! lmao.

I don't know why anyone would trade a manual for an auto though. People who want a auto usually gravitate to it in the first place. Not only that but think of all the money he lost in that trade, yikes. The salesman probably loves him though.

If you're happy with that decision then so am I. I'd way rather have a supercharged 427r, however.

If the price is the same then hell yeah lol. I like the way the 13 and 14 look a lot.

For the price though of a stock 5.0 I'd just stick the the 4.6

I think the 4.6 is a good car to start on and learn how to mod. I'm sure I will get a 5.0 in a few years but glad I'm soaking up all this knowledge and experience
