Does anybody have one? Was the car noticeably lighter?

It only takes around 40 pounds out of the car so it's not possible to actually feel that. It would be like putting a suitcase In your trunk and noticing the additional weight.

But when you combine it with other weight reductions it can add up.

People generally delete the seats for appearance reasons or take it out because it's a track car.

Yeah not that big of a difference but if you get lighter front seats as well. It will add up to reduction.

When I removed mine from my 2011, I weighed the seats; a total of 28 pounds was removed.

Get a decent kit if you're going to do it. Some of the cheap 100 dollar ones are flimsy pressboard, don't fit correctly, and break easily if any parcel is placed on the bottom panel.

I hate putting people in my backseat. Which was actually the reason I took my seats out of my Trans am back in the day. I'm considering doing it for the mustang but can't find a quality kit for a reasonable price. If nothing comes available soon I may just try and make one.
