Unlock Key- Car Alarm goes off

The battery for my remote unlock does not work at times, I can unlock the car with my key but then the alarm goes off. Does anyone else experience this problem? Fixable? Suggestions?

Thanks!

could be your wiring in your car--even a kink in a wire; your battery in your transmitter not making contact properly; a bad fuse; your car battery dying; electrical interference from something; aliens...
the best thing to do is give the car to me asap

Thanks for the quick response, I don't care about the transmitter so much cause I can sit there and press it until the door unlocks but the problem I'm more confused about is the car alarm going off when I use my key to unlock the door.

well, with my other car, if you press the Lock button on the transmitter once, the doors lock, then if you use your key & unlock it, the alarm doesn't go off;
BUT, if you press the lock button twice, the first time locks the doors & the second press turns on the alarm, so if i use my key & in the door, & unlock it, the alarm DOES go off & it shuts off when i put my key in the ignition
maybe there is a problem w/ your transmitter or its battery that is causing the alarm to be activated.

have you tried a different battery in your transmitter? it could just be a weak battery

Now that you say that...stuff is starting to make more sense, I hope. Whenever I lock my car normally, it does the triple honk, then a honk like 5 sec after, which I'm assuming is the alarm engaging. This happens automatically every time I use the transmitter. Then when I use my key the alarm goes off.

Tomorrow I will try locking the door from the inside and shutting the door and unlocking with the key. Let the experiments begin!

Thanks for your help!

I have not messed with the transmitter yet. I'm just lazy or cheap I guess haha, I do have a second transmitter that is attached to my spare that works better and still haven't switched them.
