Burnout automatic

Hello,

Is it possible to do a burnout in a 2005 GT with an automatic transmission?
And will you damage something if you do it?

Is it really bad for the tires to do a burnout once in a while?

I heard the tires last longer as one might think with all that smoke..

You are correct. The tires do last longer when you burn rubber! When it heats up from the burnout. New rubber forms from the chemicals inside of the heated rubber on your tires.

Hope I can help.

other than warming up your tires before a drag race, it certainly doesnt do good for your car or tires. but thats the cost of fun and show. I've done it a few times with no considerable wear. My tires are more economical tho, so they dont grip as hard as more "quality" (expensive) tires, due to harder rubber. if they are new tires, you might wanna abstain from burnouts. If you're getting new tires soon, then go do burnouts and donuts. I'm sure 200 miles on the highway probably does more wear than a quick burnout. Longer burnouts with a lot of smoke, Ive never done.

Once in a blue moon, you'l probably be fine though. Tires are pretty tough, and make sure you choose a surface that feels like a little less grip than normal road. a houses Driveway will leave a mess, but should slide easily. again, be careful. empty large parking lot might be a good place to test it out.

Switzerland is awesome. Speed cameras every now and then, most don't even have an active camera in them... Those are considered cops over there 0 actual cops actively searching for infractions. It's a lovely place to be from.

True, but don't underestimate the speed cameras...
Far too many of them, I got a ticket twice, once for 1.9mph over the speed limit and the other time for 3mph (plus a tolerance of 3 mph)

but In less than an hour I'm on the german autobahn

I got flashed by the same camera 3x in under 15 mins going from Geneva to Zurich once.. Lol.

I took a wrong turn somewhere, got hit by a camera. Turned around when I could, forgot the camera was there and got hit again. Then realized I was actually going the RIGHT way to begin with, turned around and forgot... Once again lol. Never did get the tickets in the mail, though

About ~8 years ago, I think. I'm guessing they never got processed or just lost in the mail and they didn't care enough to follow up on it. Now, you can use the "WAZE" app and it'll tell you where all the cameras are

To clarify, you TURN TRACTION CONTROL OFF, then punch it, (the gas, not trac control) that should get the wheels spinning. You mightmove forward a few inches, hit the brake halfway or so, you gotta lock the front wheels without engaging the rear breaks. Try not to redline it. Being an automatic with trac off, i assume it will stay in first and just burn rubber as long as you make itn
