Can't find a rattle

So I'm currently trying to hunt down a rattle. The car rattles at idle and when I let of the gas, but never when there is throttle. I originally thought that it was my axle back exhaust, but after tightening them up the rattle is still there. I've also checked all of the heat shields and they all seem tight. What else can I check that would possibly rattle? I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with the amount of things that could rattle, but it is so annoying and embarrassing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

No it's a manual, I want to say the sound is coming from the Transmission, but it is difficult for me to tell.

Could be loose heat shield in the tranny area.

How are the bushings on the mounts for the cat backs? Go back once more over every thing very slowly.

I've been under the car for the last three days, and I want to say the sound is coming from the shifter area. I have a hurst shifter, idk if that could be an issue. Everything with the shifter seems tight. The cats are sturdy so should I still check the bushings?

No not really, the car was in an accident and I just got it back, but the rattle was there before.

The rattle is significantly louder outside than inside, so I doubt it's inside the car, but I will definitely check. What u joints should I check?
