Long tube headers/mid pipe sound influence

I'd really like to install long tube headers and a catted mid pipe for the power gains, but I like the way my pype bombs sound. I don't really want a louder exhaust, because my car is my DD. Is this possible?

Hey Pony,

To be completely honest, once you go longtubes, you are definitely adding to the volume of your exhaust.

If you are looking to keep the volume of your current exhaust the same when going longtubes, you will have to upgrade to a larger muffler in order to "equal" out the sound.

I always recommend Longtubes to anyone as they sound awesome and make some great power but with a Pype Bombs axle back your car will definitely be much louder!

Hope this clears up some confusion and let me know if you have any questions or are looking for any recommendations!
