295/45/18 Question

Hello,so I have 275/40/18 tires on a 10 inch rims on the back of my 06 GT with SR lowering springs which is 1.5 inches lower than stock. I want bigger tires on the back. I know 285/40/18 will fit fine and fill the hole more. My question is would 295/45/18 tires fit ok without any problems (i.e. Rubbing, modification???) I know they are heavier, slow the car down, lower the gear ratio and all that. I'm not worried about all that as I do not race or anything of the sort. I just want a much better look which means more tire and less gap! Please post pictures if you have 295s, thanks...

295's are 1.8 taller and 7/8" wider than what you have now. Seems like it will be close.

Ok so 295/40/18 is ok. So then 295/4518 would be too close or it would just make the car a little taller right? I spoke to a guy from American Muscle and he says you can fit a 305 without a problem??? Like a 305/40/18? Or would you have to go go with 305/35/18 but that would make it shorter?
