Exclamation best flowmaster for a 2010 GT?

Which Flowmaster would give me the loudest and most aggressive/meanest sound on a 2010 Stock Mustang GT?

Flowmaster Original 40s? Super 40s or Super 44s?

I just ordered an Airaid CAI and a tuner I hope those help with the sound also.

I have an 08 GT with Flowmaster Outlaws. You can hear my car coming well in advance of getting there. They are loud (bordering on obnoxious) deep and mean. The only issue that I have is the drone at around 1800-2100 rpm. This is my daily driver and with the windows down, the drone can get on your nerves easily. But during the summer, with the windows down, what glorious sound!

Flowmasters are actually not ideal for the S197's due to the fact that our mufflers are mounted behind the axle. Flowmasters need a few feet of pipe to resonate that sound to get that deep/hollow signature sound.

If you're set on flowmasters still is go with the 44's. I've always been partial to the way those sound over the 40's.

Cbird so what type of muffler would you recommend for the S197's other than flowmaster?

It seems to be accepted that the Borla/ Ford racing stingers (S-type) mufflers are the best sound for the 3 valves. I'd also agree with this. Owning many different mufflers and hearing a wide range of exhaust setups nothing quite compares to the stingers.

When paired with a catted X pipe the sound is very exotic and classy. Like Aston Martin-ish with hints of muscle car.

When paired with an H it's super deep and smooth. I used to love the X but I find myself leaving the H pipe on the car for longer and longer periods of time.

Borla stingers and corsa are the way to go.

Depending on what you want corsa is louder than borla but corsa has 0 drone go where borla does have some . They both sound great. Do you plan on putting cams in ? If so corsa at idle they are hypnotizing .

The Corsa sports are pretty nice. The extremes are a little too funky for my taste.

Zero drone on the Corsas is pretty cool though. It's almost hard to get used too when you have lived with drone for so long.

Don't go super 44s, if you've got stock exhaust manifolds and cats. It will barely be louder than stock mufflers.

based on these comments I guess the flowmaster super 10 is what I should go with I just wish I could find a YouTube video or something of them. every YouTube video I found of the super 10s, the person has other mods as well so that doesn't tell me what they will sound like on my car.

I had super 10s only when I first got my car and it had a super deep sound. Didn't pop and crack at all. Then I went with shorty headers only
For sound
Because I think long tunes should like crap and it made a super
Big difference in sound.

How much louder did they make the car than stock?

See I already have "Original 40s" on the car. I LOVE the sound they make. I just want it louder. I was hoping the super 44s were much louder. Installed my Airaid CAI today and that helped a bit. But from these comments flow 10s may be my best option

Quite a bit louder. They're louder than the 44s.

BEST ADVICE EVER! I did it! After i put on the flowmaster super 10s, I immediately realized my 2010 Mustang sounded identical to my old 2004 Gt with flowmaster 40s on it! I never thought I would hear that sound again!

The flowmaster 10s were the best choice ever. 0 rasp through all rpms just deep mean rumbles everywhere. I even got some jaw drops from some 5.0 owners

This is now me

Right after I got my mustang I had to climb under to check the exhaust because my brothers said they heard me from 3 miles away...My 2010's mufflers were not an axel-back setup. confused the mess out of me.....

I read this and went from the Original 40s to the 10s. Figured id give it a shot. I must say they sound GREAT; however the highway drone just kills it for me. Anyone have a clip of Super 44s on an 05-10 Mustang GT? I have having serious problems finding one on youtube of people with stock cats and headers.

I may just go back to Original 40s but I hear Super 44s sound meaner
