Will data logging improve tune?

I have a SCTX4 tuner with Bama tunes. Is there a reason to use the data logging feature If my car is running ok? Thanks

The generic tune you first get from any email tuner is, relatively, conservative as to not damage the motor. It's really a blanket tune that can be useable for anyone's 3v and still be considered safe. It's good, but has a lot of room for improvement.

Once you data log and send that information into your tuner he/she will have a much better idea of what they are working with and be able to dial your tune in more aggressively and get you, in my case, a much stronger tune - in terms of longevity, drivability, and, of course, power.

Your tuning endeavor really isn't finished until you data log a few times and send it in. You're fine with what you have now, but if you wanted to take the time you could milk several more ponies out of your car.

Honestly, ^this isn't always true. My first set of tunes, I had a lot of pinging in all three. I think it's important to datalog IMO. I think it's best to be safe than sorry.

Hey Pony!

I got your PM and replied, even though you are loving your tune, the Bama team will take a look at your logs and make it even better!

Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all!

-Will
