NEED YOUR GUYS HELP!

So here is the situation: call me an idiot but now I need advice what to do. PAID 11K

I bought a 2005 Mustang GT(salvage) with 60k miles. She has a ford racing air intake, poweraid spacer, custom tune, pypes cat back exhaust and foose nitrous rims. I was shown the damage originally to the car and everything looks fine. Although I just had to repair my cooling fan and now my brake creeks(not squeaks) when i press the pedal??? also the steering wheel shakes when I brake sometimes( air in the system? rotors?) Im starting to think she is cursed! Ive always wanted a mustang but should i just take a big hit and sell her? or keep her till she dies and make repairs along the way. ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FOR SMALL EMISSIONS LEAK JUST CAME ON?

How long do these guys last on AVERAGE? miles?

can i flash the computer back to a stock tune with no problems. cause i don't like that when the engine is cold it revs up to 2500 rpm.

any and all advice will be appreciated. besides stating the obvious that i should never have bought it.

You have to consider the car has been in a wreck. So it's going to have issues.
Now for the brakes, check and see the pad and rotor life. If it has Chinese rotors replace them! They are *****.
For the steering wheel, was the car hit in the front? And air in the lines can be a cause. Another possibility is the rack and pinion.
For the tune, looking at the engine bay, it has ford racing intake with the CAI. So if you want to put stock tune those things will need changing...

Actually stock air intake and a frpp intake manifold, which is odd, he must have pulled it off and sold it.
Op did a tuner come with it?

It was a quick glance... If I saw the car in person, I'll pick it apart...

Don't put a stock tune on it. Honestly nothing sounds too bad and you may have got a decent deal. Pull the tires and inspect the rotors and brakes. Also I have heard of some kind of clip that sometimes gets shipped on the inside of rims that need to be pulled off

i plugged in the code reader and i dont remember the code it just said, " small evap leak" i tightened my gas cap and reset it.

my friend is a mechanic and is gonna look at the pads and rotors for me along with an oil change.

so a custom tune that revs the engine to operating temp wont hurt the life expectancy?

since ill lose my *** if i sell it im probably gonna keep her till she dies

You should get many miles out of it still. These engines are stout

when its been sitting and its cold the engine will rev to about 2500 to maybe 3000 rpm for about 8 seconds and go back down to maybe get up to operating temp quicker. if thats a tune problem however and not normal then i wanna flash it back to stock. some people have been saying its normal others not

Dude no worries, we aren't judging. It's what we're here for.
Another thing to check for the steering wheel issue is alignment could be out slightly.
It happened to my Roush, just a slight readjustment and good as new.
Do you have the pics of the damage done to the car?

No offense but do you have any better pictures of your car? I'd like to see more of it. Personally I think our cars (05-09) are the best looking mustangs since the classics.
Also I'm digging the painted door mirrors...

Your evap problem sounds like it is the gas cap. When I first got My gt my cap would come loose on me a lot. Now I have to make sure it clicks at least 3 times and it has to be in a certain position or it will undo itself again lol

so far repairs done have been the electronics for the cooling fan. i think the people i paid to detail the engine ****ed it up.

but ill get those things inspected and probably do the front rotors and pads plus oil change. anything else?

The force from the impact could have caused a slight bend in the column. It's like poking jello with your finger. There's a wave of movement with the contact.

Just take it in for an alignment and see if the geometry is right

if the error code pops back up again is it a bad gas cap or something else?

It will most likely be the cap. If it is get one from the dealer. Keep in mind I try to steer people away from dealers as much as possible. But we've had too many problems with parts stores (oriellys, autozone, etc.) gas caps that I don't recommend it. Get the cap and have your mechanic friend to put it on.

I agree with what "Natestang07" said, and you did not answer his question about if you got the Tuner with the car or not. It sounds to me like you just need to do Major Maintenance check on it, Alignment, Tune up, Oil Change, Filter, etc. And have Brake Inspection done. That Little money you kick out for that, will pay off big time in the end.
